Nice to meet you!

Hi there. I’m Jen Stevens. I've been living in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Providence for 20 years. My wife and I have two boys ages 4 and 6 years old. I hold a BA in Theatre from RIC, and am happy to be back pursuing an MA in Youth Development.

I coordinate the RI Commission on Prejudice & Bias, am a certified mediator, and coordinate RI Teen Institute, a week-long, overnight leadership training for teens. I worked in the LGBTQ+ community from 2004-2021, first as an organizer for marriage equality, then coordinator of RI Pride, and editor-in-chief of Options Magazine. I’ve produced the monthly Sweet Little Variety Show in Providence since 2010.


I have a severe sun sensitivity that impacts various aspects of my life, but I manage it well. Happy to meet you all! Here’s my family, friends, and some stuff I like.
